Terms of Use
These Terms of Use apply to the website at uniquerepairservice.com and to the appliance repair work carried out by Unique Repair Services ("we", "us", "our"). Using the site or booking an appointment with us means accepting them.
1. What we do
We provide in-home diagnostics and repair of household appliances, which includes refrigerators, freezers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ice makers, wine coolers, built-in coffee machines and trash compactors. Any appointment depends on technician availability, on parts being obtainable and on safe access to the appliance.
2. Appointments and arrival windows
Appointments are scheduled inside a two hour arrival window. Traffic, an earlier job that runs long and severe weather can all move that window, and we will contact you if it changes. Somebody aged 18 or over has to be present at the property for the whole of the visit.
3. Diagnostics and quotes
A service call fee applies to each visit and is told to you at the time you book. Approve the recommended repair and that fee is credited in full against the total. Decline it and the fee remains payable, since it pays for the travel, the time and the assessment that has already been carried out.
Repair quotes are flat rate and are given once the diagnostics are complete. If a further problem comes to light after the work has started, we stop and ask for your approval before going any further.
4. Payment
Payment is due once the work is finished, unless a different arrangement was put in writing beforehand. Whatever payment methods are advertised at the time of the visit are the ones we can take. Unpaid balances may attract collection costs to the extent the law allows.
5. Warranty
Our labor is warranted for 30 days from the date the repair was completed, and the parts we install carry the manufacturer warranty for that part. The warranty attaches to the specific repair performed and the specific part installed. It does not extend to:
- A new or unrelated problem appearing after our visit.
- Damage caused by misuse, a power surge, water quality, pests, an installation carried out by somebody else, or continued use of an appliance we advised you to stop using.
- An appliance worked on by another party after our visit.
- Cosmetic wear, and consumable items such as filters, bulbs, belts and gaskets used up in normal service.
Warranty claims come to us directly. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how they are handled.
6. The condition of the appliance
Appliances are repaired in the condition they are found in. We may decline to work on a unit that is unsafe, that has been repaired improperly by somebody else, that has water or pest damage, or for which parts are no longer manufactured. Where an appliance cannot be repaired economically we will say so and charge only the service call fee.
Moving a built-in appliance carries an unavoidable risk to flooring, cabinetry and connections. We take reasonable care, but we cannot accept liability for existing weaknesses in flooring, cabinetry, plumbing or electrical connections that give way when an appliance is moved.
7. Access and safety
Providing safe and clear access to the appliance, and telling us about known hazards, is the customer's responsibility. Where a property or an appliance presents a real risk to our technician, we reserve the right to leave and to charge the service call fee.
8. What is on this website
Everything published here is general information. It is not a guarantee that a particular problem can be repaired, or repaired at a particular price. Price ranges shown are typical examples rather than quotes. Please do not attempt the repairs described on this site yourself: gas work and high voltage work are dangerous and in many places regulated.
9. Trademarks and brand names
All manufacturer names, brand names, logos and model designations referenced on this website belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification only. Unique Repair Services is an independent repair company. Naming a brand does not imply affiliation with, endorsement by or authorization from that manufacturer unless we say so expressly.
10. Our own material
The text, layout, graphics and code of this website belong to Unique Repair Services and may not be copied or republished without permission.
11. Limits on liability
So far as the law allows, our total liability arising from any service or from your use of this website is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including spoiled food, lost income, or property damage not caused directly by our own negligence.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the state in which the service was carried out, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of that state.
13. Changes
These terms may be updated. The version published on this page at the moment you book is the version that applies to your service.

Ring the office and put the question to us. Explaining a clause out loud takes a minute and beats leaving anyone to guess what it means.
